Nov 26 travel to Chile

 Most of the day was spent traveling to Santiago Chile divided into regions instead of states. The weather was clear and we had a nice view of the Andes Mountains during the flight. When we arrived at the hotel we were serenaded with piano music played by a young traveler. 2  blocks from Hotel we shopped at a huge mall that was a lot like Bay brook. Then at 6 we had a welcome drink in the lobby.

  On our last day in Santiago, we visited the picturesque port of Valparaiso, founded in the 16 century with 43 hills that are reached by narrow, windy streets, staircases and a series of lifts (funiculars), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue to Viña del Mar, known as the Garden City for its pretty parks and flower-lined streets. On the return to Santiago, we stopped at some of the beaches. Nov 22 Happy Anniversary and More Falls

Today we celebrated 37 years of marriage in Argentina by going to more falls. We didn’t get wet now that I was prepared. of course! I thought I had enough pictures of falls, but from another perspective I felt the need to take some more.  This blog inserts pictures with no particular order.  A park near our hotel that we stilled through before dinner.  A caiman alligator! A view from above Not bad after 37 years of marriage.  The butterflies enjoy the sweat on your skin The pictures don’t do these views justice.  This pretty one stayed with me for some time.  Some people took a boat ride in the water. No thanks.  Like I said, no particular order.  On the Argentina side it Igazu. On the Brazil side it is Igasu with an S! A Argentinian caiman lizard.

Nov 27 Santiago City Tour

  Today we went on a sightseeing tour of the city and San Cristobal Hill. There were wonderful views of both old and new. We also scoured some flea markets.  Beautiful modern buildings Old and new architecture  Funicular ride down Panoramic Views of Santiago  I hate the graffiti  This is where started for the Funicular ride up Couldn’t quite figure out that these statues were by our hotel , but we enjoyed them The financial district  Going down —Funicular ride down Saw lots of bikers You have to appreciate the old architecture  I like the pigeon sitting on the past President of Chile, but that’s just me.  A turret at the Funicular ride More views of Santiago with its 7 million people.  Another view of the city
