On our last day in Santiago, we visited the picturesque port of Valparaiso, founded in the 16 century with 43 hills that are reached by narrow, windy streets, staircases and a series of lifts (funiculars), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue to Viña del Mar, known as the Garden City for its pretty parks and flower-lined streets. On the return to Santiago, we stopped at some of the beaches. For dinner we enjoyed a traditional Chilean dinner at a local restaurant and bid farewell to our tour.
